Fieldpiece DR82 Infrared Refrigerant Leak Detector
The Fieldpiece DR82 is an infrared (IR) refrigerant leak detector built for HVAC/R technicians who need fast, reliable leak pinpointing in the field. Its infrared sensor detects leaks smaller than 1 gram per year — around 20 times more sensitive than a soap bubble test — and, unlike heated-diode sensors, IR sensing does not degrade with refrigerant exposure over its rated life. The DR82 combines a bright backlit LCD, a three-way alarm (LED tip, bar graph and beeper) and a rugged IP54-rated body that fits comfortably in one hand.
